Wide body kits with function, less show, more performance.

As some of you have probably noticed via Instagram, we are currently working on a widebody kit for our Hyundai I30n and a BMW M2C. We want to give you a few key facts here and need your feedback as to whether you find something like this interesting in principle and whether we should report more about it and which vehicles would be of interest to you.

Key facts:

Moderate width of approx. 3cm per wheel Registration by individual approval possible Material: GRP and no CFRP Function is in the foreground, no pure optical tuning Installation partner available, registration can also take place there Moderate width, why not extremely wide?

We made a conscious decision not to extend the wheel arches to an extreme width, because at a certain point we can no longer estimate the impact on the handling. In the frame we have chosen, it is still possible to work with track plates and/or a different offset in combination with wider rims/tires. However, if we move the contact point of the wheel extremely away from the center axis of the shock absorber, we can in no way guarantee that the interaction between your control arms, struts and shock absorbers is still in the optimum working range. We therefore deliberately distance ourselves from components for purely show purposes and focus on function.

The most frequently asked question: Is this registrable?

Yes, our kit will be registerable and we are even planning a parts certificate for some vehicles. The parts are manufactured by one of our partners and can be installed and approved there. If we do not have a parts certificate for your vehicle, it will work with the classic individual approval. We have taken a very close look at the regulations and design in such a way that we meet the conditions for registration.

Why no carbon?

In this case, we opted for GRP and not CFRP because of the point mentioned above. Registration would not be possible with carbon, although we already have splitter belt yokes for the GRP parts.

Does it work, or does it just look good?

As described above, the focus is on function. This means that you can actually ride wider tires and rims. In addition, we think about areodynamics during the design process. We avoid hard edges in the flow area and, if possible, create a wheel arch vent for each wheel to reduce the lift caused by the rotating wheel on the respective axle.

Installation partner available?

Yes, our partner Polybauer near Hanover will be the point of contact when it comes to the practical part. As soon as we have the first kits, we will be happy to share the contact details.
