Air duct inlet

In order to transport the air to the outlet of the brake ventilation system, a suitable inlet is essential. The pre-facelift I30N already has factory-installed intake ducts in the front bumper, but these end in the middle of the wheel arch. Previously, we used these ducts to prevent the air from swirling randomly in the wheel arch. We have now developed an extension to the air duct which can be fitted with minimal effort and connects to the outlet.

Generation 2

The second generation, available immediately, allows the OEM channels to be retained, as we have developed intake funnels for the control arm. These are simply screwed under the wishbone and have an opening through the wishbone with a hose connection to connect the air inlet surface to the anchor plate using a short air hose.

The advantages are obvious: a shorter hose can be used to generate fewer flow losses. This also makes the system more wear-resistant and full steering wheel impacts no longer cause damage to the hose. The final advantage is the ease of installation.

Air duct outlet

In doing so, we direct the air at the pane at a defined angle in order to avoid scattering losses and make maximum efficient use of the available air volume. Thanks to the lightweight construction in combination with powder-coated aluminum, the anchor plate is sufficiently strong and at the same time light and robust. During and after the braking process, the suspension joint is under enormous heat stress as it is extremely close to the hot brake disk. Wear and tear increases disproportionately. This anchor plate therefore has additional shielding for the bearing, which increases its durability.
