Air duct inlet:

In order to transport the air to the outlet of the brake ventilation system, a suitable inlet is essential. The M2 F87 does not have factory inlet ducts in the front bumper like the M2 Competition F87N. What your car does have, however, are 2 radiators on the sides behind the bumper! So why not use the existing air flow?

To prevent the air after the radiators from swirling randomly in the wheel arch, we have developed a guide channel that can be fitted with minimal effort and guides the air around the wheel and connects a connection to the outlet via a 40 cm long hose (per side). Our tests have shown that no significant back pressure builds up behind the radiator and in the event of extreme speeds and increasing pressure, the channels do not present any obstacles to the escaping air behind the radiator.

Air duct outlet:

In many vehicles (such as the M2), brake cooling is recommended even for medium loads, even off the racetrack. This not only improves braking performance, but also drastically reduces wear on the friction partners. Our armature plate uses the channeling of the air flow to the center of the brake disc to utilize the turbine effect to cool the disc from the inside. In doing so, we direct the air at the pane at a defined angle in order to avoid scattering losses and make maximum efficient use of the available air volume. Thanks to the lightweight construction in combination with powder-coated aluminum, the anchor plate is sufficiently strong and at the same time light and robust. In addition, the bearings closest to the brake disk are shielded from the heat in order to increase their service life (if necessary).
